i AM LIVING AN ALLSTATE AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE NIGHTMARE.
1. Monday had someone from Allstate dispatched to my home via order placed toward roadside assistance to replace flat tire
2. REQUIRED to pay $84 dollars out of pocket cash with the promise of $50 reimbursement after mailing in a receipt.
3. Tire was replaced with factory "doughnut" stored in trunk. Additional air was added by technician. I mentioned that tire still looked a little low . He states I am good to go.
4. Left my home and got approximately 4 - 6 blocks from home and wheel began slipping, jerking, smoking and seemed like it was going to catch fire
5. Pulled over
6. Called Allstate back . They sent a tow truck to get me home again.
7. Today car still sitting in driveway of my home undrivable. There appears to be damage to rim and tire is completely off rim. and who knows what else.
8. Now I am required to file a claim against Allstate, provide pictures and estimates, etc in 5 (five) business days before they will take care of this problem and if not I can only assume this issue will be mute if I fail to do so. Why am I filling a claim against my own insruance company for their incompetency. How do I get all of this done without a car and in my current condition? Why am I being inconvenienced and required to wait for what looks like may take some time.
I am 68 years old., retired, partially disabled. I thought I had roadside assistance. What good is it to have a service that wants $84 dollars to do the service when I am stranded. Further why are you using incompetent people. And lastly why won't Allstate take care of this problem without putting me through this night mare. They created this problem and now they want to dump this nightmare back in my lap and do their jjob for them to get it resolved.
This is horrible. I have spoken with a couple of friends. One has a simple roadside service with their insurance company "sign and drive" and no out of pocket cost to the customer
I wonder if you would like to have your wife/and or mother/daughters treated in this matter?
I have been with Allstate approximately 30 years ith minimal claims against my auto policy. As a matter of fact all of my insurance is with Allstate
I would appreciate any expeditious assistance you can give me in this matter.
I have made numerous calls and I keep getting the run around (i.e., present pictures, present estimates, call this number, call that number, we will get back to you in 24 48 hours) In the meantime I have no transportation, and therefore no way to get out for much needed meds, food, gasoline, etc. Not to mention on a modest income I am out of close to $100 of unplanned expense to Allstate.
A call to my agent has not been returned as of yet.
I need for Allstate to come out and do whatever is necessary to take of this problem. I have paid my money and I expect (ed) Allstate to provide professional, and competent service and expeditiously including but not limited to resolving any issues related to same.
I look forward to hearing from you and your help in resolving this matter.
