My mother Teresa Hennessy was an employee at Northampton M & S for many years. I was the second user on my mother's m & s discount card.
My mother sadly died several years ago. I rang M & S a couple of times regarding the discount card and was told I could continue to use the card until the funds on there had been used.
A few months ago the card was cancelled without my knowledge. having contacted the customer service team I was told it was cancelled in error, and to contact the discount card team, as there were still quite a lot of discount on the card. I was advised by the discount card team it cannot be reinstated as you can only use it for so long after the person has died. I have been given different information by the customer contact centres. I have heard of someone else whose mother has died and they are still using the discount card several years later. Could you clarify the correct procedure for me please .
