J.C. Penneys has violated my trust. I applied for and received my very first credit card from J. C. Penney\'s based entirely on my own salary in 1973. I kept one of these cards. I did this because I felt I should have my own credit. Now forty years later I find out that someone took it upon themselves to change it. And not only did this happen but no one called to inform me changes were made made to my account. I did not give permission for my husband to have MY account. He will validate that I got the card on my own. This past I week called Penneys to see why I had not been received any flyers in a long time. I was told because I was not the primary card holder. This is absolutely not true! I did not even allow my husband use of the card for 15 to 20 yrs. Now Penney\'s says I may be able to use PART of his credit. We have called everyone we could asking that this credit for the last 40 years be entirely in my name. We will be notifyiing news, seeking legal advice. All we are asking is that you correct your mistake and send us proof that you have done so. I am the primary holder on the account. I don\'t know when or why this was changed..certainly without my knowledge or permission. Where did you get his information? Send us copies of his application with his signature. Penneys had done a total dis-service to me. I have rights as a woman to my own credit. You can not discount my worth.
