Dear Mr. Ellison:

While I am not sure that you will ever see the contents of this email, I am nevertheless writing to you in that I am sure you would want to know how a J C Penny customer has been mistreated.

I call to your attention that on November 28h, I received an email from J C Penny entitled:
“Exclusive – 33% off online just for you”! Thus, J C Penny was offering a 33% discount for an online purchase of $100 or more. As it turns out, on November 9th, we purchased from J C Penny under Order # 2015-3135-8027-8352a Porter King 7 PC COM Black/GREY comforter set at a cost of $159.99.

Since our purchase was within 30 days of the email offer I just received, I called your 800 322 1189 at 5:37PM EST and discussed with the answering operator the fact that since I purchased the above item within 30 days of the email online sale sent to me, that it was only fair that we receive the 33% discount. The answering operator told me that since we purchased the item previously, that we were not entitled to said discount. As this put us in a position of being treated unfairly when compared to other J C Penny customers, I indicated that I would be writing to J c Penny corporate headquarters and asked the operator for the corporate office phone #. I then asked the operator for her ID # so that I could have some verification of my phone call and she hung up on me immediately.

Mr. Ellison, I am of the opinion that if some sort of sale or discount is offered to J C Penny customers, that any customer who is within 30 days of such an offer should be granted the same terms so that those of us who are loyal to J C Penny should not be penalized for shopping earlier than Black Friday customers. Moreover, how dare any employee of J C Penny hang up on me or any of your customers! That is simply unacceptable.

I await your comments and would appreciate if J C Penny treats me equally with all other J C Penny customers.
