@MarvinJCPenney – Marvin Ellison – To Whom It May Concern: Thank you for taking the time to read this letter

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I’m writing in reference to my most recent credit report containing late payments for the months of 01/2019 and 02/2019. Equifax, Experian and Trans Union are reflecting 30-59 days late for these two months.
I do understand my financial obligations, and if it weren’t for an unforeseen circumstance that came about in late November early December which caused me to miss payments. I have a very good payment record with Synchrony JC Penny since opening my credit card account. This particular obligation put me in a very big bind. I have since been able to get pass this and get back on track.
I’m planning to apply for a mortgage within the next couple of years and it’s come to my attention that the missed payment on my record could hurt my ability to qualify. I truly believe that it doesn’t reflect my creditworthiness and commitment to repaying my debts. It would help me immensely if you could give me a second chance and make a goodwill adjustment to remove the late payment for January and February 2019.
Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you’ll approve my request.
