I was involved in an accident yesterday at approximately 2:30 PM in Jacksonville, FL. I was rear-ended by a speeding vehicle and likely will be without a vehicle for some time. I had my 3 year old in the back seat when the accident occurred. I called Mercury almost immediately after the accident and spent an hour on the phone giving them all the information they requested. (Claim # FLPA 000*****)
I asked about a rental car and was then put on hold for 20 min before hanging up and calling a friend to drive from Orlando to Jacksonville to pick me up. I was then called back about 30 min later to be told that they were not able to get me a rental car. The lady on the phone assured me that I would be receiving a phone call early the next day (Today, Monday October 14) to get "taken care of". 
I called multiple times today and never received as much as a phone call back to get "taken care of". As mentioned earlier, I have a 3 year old son and would like to take him to get checked out as well as myself. I don't have a vehicle to do so and I haven't been given the courtesy of a phone call to get any information either. We have a TON of stuff from the rental car to seeing a doctor to likely having to buy a new vehicle, car seat, etc. None of which we can start without a little bit of direction and help that your company seems to be refusing at the moment. 
Needless to say, this is absurd. I ask anyone of you to put yourself in my shoes and ask what you would do and think in this situation? I wasn't at fault, so it isn't like your company is worried about paying out medical or vehicle damage expenses. I am at a loss for words for the way my family has been treated by a company that we have done business with for multiple years. 
I am currently on hold and collecting emails to send this to, I am speaking with a "Sylvia Delarosa"(included in the email). I have asked multiple times for her managers email, only to be put on hold time and time again. I am shocked that you do not have a directory that makes it simple and quick to get contact information in the office. I expect a phone call and to be in a rental call first thing tomorrow morning. There is absolutely no excuse to be treated the way we have been over the last 24 hours.
