Mr. Auld,
My husband and I purchased one of your homes in Sandoval in Cape Coral in 2012. During the initial warranty phase our builder was very helpful and willing to make most repairs.
Recently we discovered there was a leak in our roof that was draining over the garage which did damage to our ceiling as well as a window that the frame had been bent during install that is leaking a great deal. After a great deal of effort we contacted Angela Witkowski and she sent out a roofer who "repaired" our leak. Not only did they not communicate with my husband or I as they made their way around our home but they left behind broken roof tiles and a pile of tar. I have made MULTIPLE attempts to contact them, their "supervisor" and Angela again. However, this matter has not been resolved and it has been ongoing for greater than 6 months.
I am requesting a thorough inspection of our roof as well as repair to the damaged section by your contractors. There are multiple leaking windows in the home but the one that was not placed correctly in the structure due to the bend frame must be replaced as well as the sill and drywall it has ruined.
I am hoping to DR Horton will uphold their commitment to stand behind their homes. It is unfortunate that I have not been able to resolve this matter at a local level but something must be done.
