Mr. Bertolini, every time I go to a doctor of any kind, is there a charge for the doctor no matter his status? Does Aetna pay for the doc performing the test or JUST the test? I was not given a refractive eye exam during my routine eye exam. I called Lens Crafters (optometrist) to have the refraction done. she said there would be a charge for the optometrist. Isnt that covered under my Aetna benefits accompanying the tests that are covered? Since I did not get my refraction done, I cannot get another one unless I pay out of pocket AGAIN. Not fair. I have to go a whole year before being checked again unless I want to pay for the specialists inefficiency and inadequacy from the original exam. Can you help me get a refraction done at no cost whatsoever?
