Ms. Borders sent a message to Bob Sasser – Chief Executive Officer and President of Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Mr. Bob Sasser,
I am a regular shopper of Dollar Tree Stores and have been pleased with your product quality and value. I often shop with my granddaughters and they prefer your store over Wal-Mart.
I am usually satisfied with the professionalism and courtesy of Dollar Tree’s staff. Your store is a requirement for any shopper on a budget or just wants to save money.
My most recent visit to Dollar Tree Store (2080) located in Durham N.C. 27707 did not come close to meeting my expectations. To say the lease I was disappointed enough to want to share my experience with you.
June 19, 2016 at 1:15 P.M.; I walked in to the store and there was only one register open and there was a line of customers 19 deep. Several of your staff was sitting in the office chatting while the line extended almost 30 feet.
I requested the lone cashier to ask for help to open another register. He looked at the staff sitting in the office and he replied, “they know”. Five minutes later one staff members came out of the office picked up a basket and went to the back of the store.
You staff displayed a cavalier attitude about the long line of customers waiting and there was no visible management to care. After another 10 minutes a Lorraine ---------, opened a register with an obviously unfriendly look on her face.
When I gave Lorraine a $20 bill to pay for my purchase; she looked at my in disgusted manner and said, “don’t you have a something else”. I replied no. She was very rude and talked to herself in a low voice while checking me out.
I would appreciate your help with remedying the morale problem at this store because I want to continue shopping there.
I do not want to become a Wal-Mart shopper and with your help, I will not have to.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Borders
