Mr. Carmichael,
I am a retired Army LTC living and working in Germany Auburndale, FL and at the recommendation of our builder, Kennsington Homes, we have been working at the Fifth Third Bank in Odessa, FL since September to finalize the loan. We have emails promising us a 3.25% rate dating back to September. We have promptly complied with every request for information that was asked of us. However, it seems, that every time they told us that all the paperwork was completed, the underwriters or someone, needed one more thing! We would go weeks at a time without information from your people. I flew to Florida in November, as requested, to close on this loan, only to find out that it still wasn't finalized! Since then, we have communicated with Steve who promised to get things moving, to no avail, and most recently were given the phone number and email of Richard who promised to contact us, but as of yet, still has not. I am sure this inept behavior is not up to your bank's standards. We are very frustrated and confused with this whole experience. If we are unable to get the promised rate of 3.25%, we will be choosing another bank to do business with. We would appreciate any assistance you could offer us to get this loan closed in the next seven days.
