Mr. Carmichael, I could not get through your secretary call screening for my concern of my account. I have complained about my overdraft fees charged to my account ($420.00) to several supervisors today. Hearing that the bank was not in error, so no exceptions to refund any more than the standard $74. Accept my problem is that it is a bank error due to you hiring the person who misinformed me of the overdraft protection program. Who would sign up for this anyway. 5th third will let your card go through for $37.00, and we will only notify you of this by mail, so that way you cant fix the problem before it gets to big, that way we collect as much as we can from you. Were sorry, we don't look at your history to see whats going on, we read our policy from a paper in front of us. Because everyones banking is the same..Plus when were audited, we don't want to work at explaining why we refunded it back, even though that would be easy, due to notes on your file, why would we want to make our job harder to please customers. I would never have signed that paperwork if informed correctly. Because, I was not However, I have decided to remove all my accounts from 5th third. I can't believe an incident so ridiculous, your willing to lose a customer that has been with you for a very long time. Im also going to remove my investsments elsewhere. One customer might not mean much to you, however, this customer feels I have been burned. When that happens, I speak my mind on social media, word of mouth, and I'm even going to post it on my car for all to see. So this customer will no longer be funding your salary in the future.. Hope your kids have a good Christmas!
Sincerely Keri
