Kelly sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison – President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
Mr. Ellison, I have been employed since September 2013 at the salon at store #2498, JCPenney at the Mall at Fairfield Commons.(Beavercreek,Oh).
I informed my salon manager, Tami Trim, of my plans to leave my employment for another salon. We discussed my last day of work, August 13,2016. Tami agreed to this date and explained to me how to submit my resignation. I submitted my resignation on Saturday, July 16,2016 via the associate kiosk.
Monday, July 18, 2016, I received a text from Tami to call her. I called her and she told me that she and her boss, Mike Wages, decided that it would be the best thing in the world for me to leave now. I replied by saying I would think about it and talk to her later.
I came to the salon that same evening to retrieve my personal belongings, not thinking my employment was terminated. Most of my belongings were in a box by the reception area. I was completely locked out of the system. I could not look at my appointment book or associate kiosk. I later realized she kept my physical journal that contained my personal information about the work I have done at JCPenney salon.
I am completely baffled by this situation. I have never been reprimanded in any way. In fact, I have done more work than most of the employees. I cannot get Mike Wages to return my calls.
I cannot understand how this fits with "respecting and following the integrity guidelines" or the company being "committed to creating a work environment of openness, trust, and respect.." I definitely dont feel that my "concerns are important." I take great issue with the statement about ethics,"by valuing our associates, we continue to build on our legacy of the Golden Rule,"
