Mr Folliard,
My parents visited your Tampa store today looking to sell a car. Their vehicle retails for 10.5 to 12K and is in exceptional condition. I have a fair amount of industry knowledge having had the privilege of being the VP of a company that runs VAuto programs for dozens of dealerships around the country. None of them and I mean none of them are successfully purchasing at less than 82% of retail market value. The offer they received today came in at 55% of what your appraiser informed them the retail price he will set on the car is. With all due respect to your organization I cannot help but feel that either a gross error was made today or that some type of discrimination was perpetrated at your store today. Rather than report this as a discrimination issue to the AG's office in the state of Florida, which is what I am inclined to do, I would like to give you the opportunity to investigate and determine exactly what happened. I kindly ask that you have someone from your office look into this and contact me
Respectfully, Leo
