Paul  sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek President and Chief Executive Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:

Mr. Jelinek,

My wife was recently robbed inside a Costco. Her purse was in her shopping cart and she only turned her back for a moment to look at an item. Before she knew it, someone had reached into her purse and stolen her wallet. The thief made off with all her credit cards, our social security cards, insurance cards and worst of all, our son's green card - his only proof of residence in the country, which will cost $500 to replace. The reason I am writing to you is that the staff there informed her that there were no cameras in the back of the store. My wife was distraught and humiliated and was forced to leave her full basket of items in the store as she had no money or cards left to pay.

The reason I'm writing is to ask why the stores don't have cameras in the back and why after this, there wasn't a warning put out for the rest of the public. My wife went there again the next day, feeling very paranoid and wary and didn't see any notices at all. Almost all other women in the store had their purses in vulnerable places in their baskets.

I would appreciate if someone could call me to discuss this. . Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

-Paul
