Mr. Johnson, I Hope this note finds you well. Congratulations on your semi-retirement. From – Edward Johnson III email address

Kimberly sent a message to Edward Johnson, III – CEO of Fidelity Investment email address that said:

Mr. Johnson,
I Hope this note finds you well. Congratulations on your semi-retirement. From the little I know about you, I doubt you'll be out fishing every day, but I do hope you can sit back and enjoy the fruit of your labor! It appears as though you're leaving the business in competent hands--yay for woman power!
My name is Kim, and I am a 54 year old middle school teacher in a suburb of Atlanta, Ga. This may seem strange, but I believe my mother met you years ago when you were doing business here in the Atlanta area or possibly even in the Birmingham, Ala. area. I was wondering if you remember her. She recently told me about your encounter and speaks fondly of you. Her current name is Dorothy . Her name in 1961 when you met her was Dorothy or Dotti or perhaps Dotti (her maiden name). She was 22, but appeared to be a more mature woman. I have a photo that might jog your memory; however, this site will not allow attachments or inserts. If the name rings a bell, please respond, and I can send the photo from circa 1965. At 76, she is still very active and heads her own humanitarian aid corporation. It would make my day to know if, in fact, you remember the encounter.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this note and hopefully respond to me.
Kindest regards,

Kim
