Judy sent a message to Gary C. Kelly Chairman, President, and CEO, Southwest Airlines Co. – email address that said:
Mr. Kelly,
I am 70 years old and have never before written to a CEO. I have lived in Denver, Colorado for 45 years.
We were to have a family Breakfast reunion in Denver on Friday July 1st. Your company cancelled 20 flights into Denver on Thursday night June 30 which included our sons flight from SF because of pending bad weather. Of course he missed the reunion breakfast. Also he had to purchase another ticket (different airline) in order for him to be here for the rest of his vacation!!!
Our daughter-in-law and two grandchildren flew in that night, Thursday June 30 same time on Frontier with no problems. There was no bad weather that night until around midnight.
My husband and I fly Southwest a lot and have always been very satisfied. I am extremely disappointed this time with your decisions.
Judy
