Mr. Lampert my name is Donna Pellegrino and Im writing to you in regards to a purchase my husband I made for a new pillow top mattress and box spring at your Deptford Mall store. After looking around we found what we thought was the perfect bed for us. We purchased a Sterns and Foster set and it was delivered on Tuesday January 24th. When purchasing the bed I asked the sales person if the pillow top would make the bed warm as I like getting into a cold bed. I like sleeping cool not hot. The sales person said your bed will still be cool. That didnt happen. I got into the bed only to feel warmth and it continued as I tried to fall asleep. I also suffer from a sciatic problem and needed a bed that would be firm but not like sleeping on rocks. I am sleeping on rocks. This is not the way the bed felt when we tried it out. In fact laying there only made the pain worse. I tried for several days to get use to the bed but each night I would get up and head for the recliner. After 4 days of this we headed back to the store to make a return only to be told you cant until your 30 days are up and then on the 31st day come and take care of it. What, the sales person did tell us we had 30 days to return the bed but to use 30 days was like if after 9 days, 16 days 25 days you could return it. There was certainly a misunderstanding there as we both would not have purchased a bed we had to keep for 31 days if we didnt find it to our liking. I have tried calling your customer service dept only to be told sorry wait your 30 days. They even told us it was the warranty of the mattress company and not Sears. I called the mattress company only to be told that sounds like a comfort care issue and not a warranty which and it is not our policy it is Sears policy. Okay who is playing who. Not only do I have this sciatic issue I am also a diabetic and I have to tell you the lack of sleep, the aggreviation of dealing with Sears is effecting my numbers. At this point all I want is to return the bed and bid farewell to your company. I dont understand how a company could deny a customer when their health is at risk. I hope this matter can be cleared up sooner then later as a good night sleep would certainly be welcomed.
