Sheri sent a message to Kevin Mansell – Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Kohl’s Corporation – Email Address that said:
I am writing to let you know of a very poor practice at Kohls. My excellent credit score went down by seven points for no apparent reason so I pulled my credit report to discover it was because of Kohl's ! The company apparently has a custom of cancelling a customers credit card for non-use! This is not disclosed when signing up for credit nor is a notice sent prior to cancelling a card. I am less than happy as you might imagine. I would have been happy to pay some of my purchases with Kohl's credit if I known that this was what your company was going to do to me. Sad thing is that if I apply for another Kohl's credit card my credit score with be negatively affected even MORE. You can bet that I won't be entering any of your stores now; not as a credit or cash payer. I am hopeful that you can see to it that something is done about this practice. I am anxiously awaiting your response.
