I would like to let you know about a poor shopping experience I had at your Northville Michigan store on Saturday June 25 around 11:30 am. I went to the store with my daughter to look for a Michigan State jersey for my Golden Retriever to wear during my son graduation party. My daughter’s idea was since he will be attending Michigan State in the fall it would be cute to dress to dog in Michigan State items. We arrived at the store and found the last large Michigan State Jersey when we went to the cashier it rang up of $.01 which was obviously incorrect. The cashier then told us that was incorrect and she would need to get the correct price since it was on clearance. She called her manager over who went over a checked the display and said all the other items on the display were correct but that one. She then stated that she could not sell it to us due to “corporate policy” and we should pick a different team. I suggested using either the price of the University of Michigan large Jersey or the Michigan State University medium jersey and again she said she could not do that due to “corporate policy” and the only thing we could do would be purchase a jersey for a different team. The point of the jersey was for a graduation party for my son who was going to Michigan State a different jersey was not an alternative. At this point I left with my daughter after a very disappointing shopping experience. I thought I presented the cashier and manager with a number of solutions to solve the pricing issue but all I was told was that it was “corporate policy”. I currently a 1 dog, 2 cats, and fish and am a regular shopper at PetSmart. But after that experience this is something that I will need to reevaluate.
