Mr. McMullen, As a retired U.S.Army veteran, my friends and I were having – W Rodney McMullen email address

Ray sent a message to Rodney McMullen – Chief Executive Officer of The Kroger Co. email address that said:

Mr. McMullen,

As a retired U.S.Army veteran, my friends and I were having a discussion the other day about veteran discounts and it came up repeatedly by several that Kroger doesn't offer one, or do anything else to honor veterans. As one of the leading U.S. Companies, we would like to know why not, when so many merchants, both national and local, do offer a small discount of 10%.

Even McDonald's provides reduced prices for coffee and places like Lowe's and Home Deport, along with a host of others offer at least 10%. It's as much the thought as the actual discount.

We would like to know why one of the leading and most profitable companies in American, who has reaped so many benefits of the capitalist system, which is defended by many men and women willing to give their lives and limbs, does nothing to honor veterans across America.

It is doubtful that you will ever see this email as some staff person will likely intercept it and that will be the end of it, but I'm sending it anyway, in the event it gets overlooked and actually makes it way to you.

We very much would like to hear an official reason why Kroger doesn't offer a veteran's discount to honor and demonstrate your corporate appreciation for the men and women who serve and have served.

Thank you,

Ray
