Nick sent a message to Mark Parker President and CEO, Nike, Inc. that said:
Mr. Parker,
I am writing to complain about the Ohio State shirt your company launched shortly after the Fiesta Bowl to mock Notre Dame's "Play like a Champion Today" sign and tradition. While I understand Notre Dame is an Under Armor school, you should realize alumni and fans of the school still buy a lot of Nike products not related to ND. This level of trolling is expected of a group of college age kids that make their own shirts to sell....Not from a company that I assume wants to promote sportsmanship and class. I expect it out of the Ohio State fan base I have experienced, but not from your company.
I love your products and as an avid golfer and runner I likely spend a couple thousand dollars a year on Nike products. I know a company your size will not notice this amount of money but I can assure you I will not spend another dollar of my $ on Nike products. I take this type of favoritism and taunting seriously and will encourage my fellow Notre Dame fans to boycott as well. I understand mistakes are made at every company and you may not even be aware of this. I think you should address this and not stoop to the level of a classless fan base.
