Mr. Sorenson,Just wanted to let you know of our experience a few months ago – Arne M Sorenson email address

Gregory Jankowski sent a message to Arne M. Sorenson President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, Inc. Email Address that said:

Mr. Sorenson,
Just wanted to let you know of our experience a few months ago.
We traveled from Springfield Mo. to Greenville SC for our sons wedding.
My wife made reservations 3 months in advance through an online booking company, paid in advance and a non-refundable deposit.
When we arrived after an all day drive the manager of Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites told us that our room was no longer available, our monies were refunded and that every decent hotel in the area was booked.
He offered to put us in a Red Roof Inn in Mauldin S.C.
Needless to say my wife went hysterical, refusing to leave and the police had to be called.
We had to leave or be arrested as the manager told us to get out and off the property.
We went to the Red Roof Inn and driving around the premises they were putting a sheet of plywood and nailing it over a door, it was an absolute dump.
We ended up after 8 pm. finding a bed and breakfast available.
I have heard this is standard practice in the Greenville area, especially when corporations want to buy a block of rooms.
My question to you is why didnt the manager Greg
have the decency to contact us by cell phone and tell us the circumstances and we could have stayed
somewhere else, instead of arriving exhausted to
our destination and nowhere to stay.
They really need to fix an issue like this and a simple phone call would have helped us out.
I sent you my wifes e-mail as I am sure she would like you to know of our experience.
And if you could send her a reply, that, at least you are aware of what had transpired.
Not the best way to start out on a happy event.
I have vented my frustrations and Thank You for your time.
Best Regards,
Gregory Jankowski
