Robert sent a message to Edward W. Stack – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods – Email Address that said:
Mr. Stack, I just was told of Dicks new policy of wearing black shorts or pants to work. I am disabled, work for your firm for about 15 hours per week and I feel this is a great burden on my checkbook. I can only work about 15 hours per week , which I am thankful for because I have had a liver transplant and very bad peripheral neuropathy which causes me great pain. I just lost about 20 pounds and just purchased about $160 worth of golf shorts, which are probably the most expensive of all the clothing worn in a Dick's Store. The people in other departments can get away with wearing $15 cheap shorts or pants, but I have to purchase expensive golf pants. My disability has caused me many problems over the past 7 years, but now I find i must spend about a half months worth of wages due to this change. Is there anyway that this black pants rule could be rescinded? I respectively ask this not only for myself, but others as well.
Thank-you for your consideration of my concerns of this new policy.
