Carol sent a message to Joseph R. Swedish President and Chief Executive Officer of Anthem, Inc. Email Address that said:
Mr. Swedish,
It is now 3 month's since my sons major surgery, leaving him with the task of learning to walk again. David's orthopedic surgeon wrote a prescription for physical therapy, 2 times a week, to make walking a reality again. I have been filing out-of-network claims with Florida Blue, as directed by Anthem BCBS of California, where our group insurance coverage resides. To date, I have received no reimbursement for my $4000+ claims, but I have received lots of excuses after waiting up to 45 minutes to talk to a customer service rep....which is utterly ridiculous! I filed a complaint with the California insurance regulatory agency, who contacted me had me re-file with DMHC who said it will take another 30 days to get a answer. My son needs therapy which I pay $300. out of pocket, every week. I have Anthem BCBS PPO group coverage and we pay our insurance monthly. I need your help getting this issue resolved quickly...I have a child that needs my attention, help and continued physical therapy....and I need you to please, please get payment to me, in accordance with our Anthem, BCBS policy.
Your attention to this is appreciated more than you know! Please contact me for any additional information, as I have a file with all conversations and data.
Kind Regards,
Carol
