I am an owner of a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 132000 miles on the truck. I have been very happy with my truck and purchased the vehicle mainly because of Toyota's quality and willingness to step up and address any issues that develop with their vehicles. That has recently changed. I have had to replace the Secondary Air Injection pump. Normally I wouldn't complain, because in older vehicles, parts need to be replaced. However, thru some research I have found that the same exact part is under warranty to 150000 miles, or recalls have been sent out for 2007-2011 Tundras. I called costumer service and the answer I received was we haven't had enough complaints to send out recalls or include the 2006s into the warranty. If it is a bad part, it is a bad part and should replaced, regardless of what year I have. I hope this finds the correct people and this problem is remedied. I was going to be a Toyota consumer for life. Now I am not so sure.
