Craig sent a message to Michael D. White, President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer DIRECTV, Inc. that said:
Mr. White,
I am trying to reach someone in authority regarding my Direct TV account, I
have been a Direct TV customer for going on 13 years and have been dealing with
health issues related to cool-rectal cancer, causing medical bills that made me
short on my bills this month, due to the resetting of my deductible on 01/01. I
contacted DTV to request an extension until 01/28 when I get paid, and was told
that they could extend to the 21st but no further. I explained to the
supervisor Cali that I have been a loyal customer since 2003, including
purchasing the NFL ticket every year, movies and other expensive sporting events
as well and would like an exception to be made, because if the service is
disconnected on 01/21, I will be forced to try other entertainment options, ie.
Netflix, HULU, etc...., mainly because the NFL ticket will be available on other
platforms next season. I just wanted to forward this to someone with authority,
I find it hard to believe that DTV would lose a loyal 13 year customer over a 6
day extension. I do not intend this as a threat, I just thought under the
circumstances an exception could be made to avoid losing a loyal customer,
however if I am unable to get the extension, and my service is interrupted on
01/21, it is unlikely I will return to DTV, if your company is unwilling to help
a decade long customer over 6 days of extension. Thank you for your time and
consideration and I look forward to hearing back from you or someone in a
position to review this request.
Thank You
Craig
