Dear Sir:

My husband and I have been members of Costco for over 10 years. We have been pleased with the products, service and the American Express Credit Card Co. service. We never had a problem with the Costco American Express Card.

Since Costco Credit Card service was transferred to Citibank Visa in June 2016, we have already had four Costco Citibank VISA problems. Our card has been charged a bogus $1.00 line item on three occasions at three different vendors we regularly use. In addition, one charge was double billed to our credit card account. In all four cases, we had no knowledge of these charges until we reviewed our account on-line.

We have been monitoring the online credit card statement daily because of these on-going alarming and unexplained bogus charges. It takes a lot of time to contact Citibank to get these items corrected. The on-line correction process corrects the latest bogus charges, but does nothing to correct the on-going problems.

When we call the Costco Citibank customer service phone number, the wait time varies between 3 seconds and 30 + minutes. The customer service representatives we reach don’t have the knowledge to tell if there is a credit card problem or system problem, so no resolution occurs.

We are very dissatisfied with the Costco Citibank Visa card to-date and wish you had continued with the successful American Express service we enjoyed for so many years. We need the Costco Citibank Visa Card on-going problems resolved immediately.
