Barbara sent a message to Brian C. Cornell Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Target Corporation that said:
My interest rate has not changed for years. it is high at 23.15%. My credit has improved since first assessed that interest rate. I pay well over the minimum amount monthly.
I called a representative today who at first was an ESL who didn't understand what I was asking. After trying several times to clarify for her , I finally asked to speak to someone from the United States. I was transferred to someone who spoke very good English but apparently has no authority to make any changes. Instead he read from a card saying "we are not reviewing interest rates at this time". He didn't know when that would happen nor did it sound in the least personally connected to my individual account.
Because this is exactly what I was told the last time I requested a review, This smacks of the 2007 financial arrogance banks and creditors demonstrated towards the poor lemmings who used their services.
I can't believe this is really how you do business! Please prove me wrong in your response to my request for a reduced interest rate.
I look forward to hearing from you soon, and thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and help me.
Barbara
