Carolyn sent a message to Edward Lampert – Chairman and CEO of Sears Holdings – Email Address that said:
My name is Carolyn I have spoken with several 'customer service' reps and the manager of the Kmart here in Danville, Va.
I am elderly (64 years old), retired on disability and I live alone.
As I have told all of the people I have spoken with today, the television I purchased 4 months ago stopped working this morning (11/22). I have been scheduled for service on 11/29.
I do not want this television and all I want is to return this tv to the store where it was purchased and get a refund. A product which stops working this quickly is clearly unreliable. I would appreciate getting my money back so I can buy another and-God knows-it will not be purchased from Sears/Kmart.
The 'customer service' reps I have spoken with have sent me on a wild goose chasse which begins and ends with Sears. I have been given several numbers-some more than once. When I was finally given the manufacturer's (On Corp) number, the gentleman referred me back to Sears. That was the result of 3 hours on the phone.
What can be done?
