Kim sent a message to Doug McMillon – President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
My name is Kim. On October 04,2005 , I purchased a bicycle from Walmart in Glenwood, Illinois. The very next day it broke while on a bike ride leaving me with a severe injury to my right foot that left me hospitalized until March the following year. Because of the severity of my injuries I had to stop my passion of Teaching Special Education, I was told that because of my injuries I would become more of a liability working with the students. I've been involved in a lawsuit with Walmart Pacific Cycle since 2007. In 2011 I became a ProSe until present. Now the attorneys that you employ from Wiedner McAuliffe Law Firm. Because of my ProSe status I fought as hard with little to no resources. As a part of the settlement I was offered 17,500.00. Since the accident I've lost almost everything my source of income from teaching and some real estate that I was Blessed to acquire while risking my savings, my mobility considering that the injury left me with a badly injured foot and Chronic Pain. 17,500.00 is All that as per Your attorney that is the most you're offering. My home is currently in foreclosure and unfortunately that amount will only pay some of the past due, I'm worried about my future physical and financial. I don't know what writing this email will accomplish maybe to inform of the Great Unjust that I've suffered through Walmart, maybe to let you know how even though I'm suffering Walmart still thrives or maybe just to ask for more from Walmart Pacific Cycle Co.. I just want to be able to live the rest of my life without having to worry about getting thrown out or where my next meal will come from. Wondering how long I'll be able to walk up the flight of stairs with a somewhat mangled foot. On October 04,2016, I walked into Walmart looking for a bicycle for recreation not for hospitalization. All I ever wanted to be made Whole. Thank You for taking the time to read my email.
Sincerely,
Kim
