Lestine sent a message to Doug McMillon – President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
My name is Lestine , I am one of you loyal customers with a serious issue that has been ignored for months. I have written many times about the situation and numerous issues I’ve had with your company. My issues are specifically with your Wal-Mart Supercenter store #2214 My phone was stolen by one of your employees and it was captured on tape. My phone had information on it for my court date on a personal matter. I did everything I was told to do. I obtained a police report and brought the report to the store LP Monique Paul to review the tape. I did all this within a period of less than four hours. It was proven that a Wal-Mart employee took the phone. The police that viewed the tape explained the cashier that rang me up ran out to return me my phone, but I had left. Instead of the cashier turning the phone in to Lost Prevention, she laid the phone down at the register and the person that relieved her took the phone I had left behind. Police Officer Dexter came back said don’t call they will call you. I waited no call; I went into the store where I talked to LP Monique Paul. She said they are investigating the incident, but she couldn’t do anything because her manager Corey was in Greenwood or Greenville, SC at another store location. She went on to say to me she shouldn’t have taken your phone you are a paying customer. As if I didn’t buy anything it was okay for the employee to take my phone.
Since my last letter the store manager called me on November 5, 2015 asked me what happened. I explained the incident as it occurred, he explained he couldn’t do anything from his level but he would call the regional LP David who is over all the LPs. Mr. James Brazell said someone will contact me. I expected to be compensated for all the inconveniences this incident has cost me. I been told we will have someone call after I explained everything to Mr. James Brazell, he said I did everything I was supposed to do. I even gave the name and badge # of the police investigator who said my phone was in the LP’s office the entire time I was given the run around. I have made several trips to the Police Dept. which is over 10 miles from where I live one way. I lost my phone, my case in court due to the missing evidence in my phone. My phone had the pictures; dates and times I had nothing to prove my case. I lost thousands of dollars behind this being late for work in addition to loss of sleep. Yet as a customer who could have gone to other grocery stores I choose to shop at Wal-Mart always given good service, no one is willing to step up and make it right. Let me know you appreciate me not only as a customer but as a human being. I will continue to peruse this matter until my issue is addressed for as long as it continues to be ignored. Thank you for you time.
Sincerely
Lestine
