My name is Nicole. I am a student at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F Kennedy high school. I am researching your company and its social responsibility for my marketing class.
I would like to find out how Disney is socially responsible in all four categories- society, employees, investors, and customers. There must be a large amount of waste products within the parks and hotels so how do you recycle these waste products? With the large number of hotels and the sizes of the parks, what measures have you taken to conserve the environment? Disney has a large number of employees, or as you would refer to them as, cast members. What have you done to keep the working conditions safe? How do Disney’s pension plan, stock incentives, health benefits, wages, etc, compare to other major business’ such as Apple? Disney has a large number of investors. What measures have you taken to give them a good return on their investment? The media can have a great influence on both adults and children. How has Disney used the media to their advantage and create a positive influence? Disney has a huge amount of profits from its many businesses. How does Disney distribute these profits among charities and organizations around the world? Disney sells a large amount of food within their parks and hotels; what nutrition and health considerations have you used when creating a menu?
Disney is a large conglomeration which makes it difficult to manage and be socially responsible. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my research on your company.
