My wife I dined at the Applebees in Emporia, Va. on 2/25/17 at approx. 7 p.m. We were seated in a booth an when ordering drinks were told by waitress that all the bar patrons had to be served first before I could order a beer. The bar was crowed so I got water instead, one lost sale. The restaurant was busy an our order took longer than expected, a hamburger club sandwich. The food was good. While there, we observed what appeared to us as lack of organization, management inattention an a definite lack of staff. During our time there I observed 2 parties of 5 an 3 couples leave without being seated, more lost business. Our waitress was very polite, I told her that it was a circus there which she acknowledged and apologized for. It appeared as though the help was trying their best however that restaurant needs management attention. Hopefully you can address these issues, I know the wait staff would appreciate it.
