Pam sent a message to Todd J. Vasos – Chief Executive Officer of Dollar General Corporation – Email Address that said:

On April 18th, I went shopping in the Dollar General Store on Belair Rd. in Perry Hall, Md. After I gathered my shopping list of items, I went to the register to pay. Each item was placed in a bag by the employee and I left the store with my purchase. As I was driving home I felt a stinging on my right side buttock. I pulled my car up at my home and looked inside the bags to see what happened. I noticed a bottle of DG Mold and Mildew Cleaner with a very loose cap. The lid on the bottle was loose and the liquid inside the bottle was leaking onto me and my pants and onto the leather material of my car seat. As a result of this spilled product, which contains bleach, my pants were ruined and there is a discoloration of my car seat. I bring this matter to your attention not to benefit in any monetary way but to ask that you bring this to the attention of your employees. This item was placed in the bag by the employee at the register. The loose lid wasn't observed by me at that time. However, this item is caustic and should have been protected with a tamper seal under the lid. I would like for Dollar General to replace my pants and look at my car seat to determine if anything can be done to rectify the discoloration. I am able to provide pictures of my car seat and the pants. I would never purposely pour a bleach product onto myself to prove a point. I can be reached by phone and please leave a message so I can return your call. Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter. Pam Biddle
