Diane Mikula sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison - President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
On July 7, 2017 I purchased a recliner in the Poughkeepsie NY store. I liked that I could see and sit in it and it was a very good price. The Sales Assoc, said it was 3 weeks for delivery and the delivery charge is $75 it could not be sent to the store for pick up.
To date no one has called about delivery so I phoned your customer service 800#.The recording said it was a 2 minute wait, it was 15 minutes. The customer person stated that this was a 3 week production time and should be sent to delivery company this week and they would schedule delivery. That was not what I was told, it is not a special order. Customer service person was kind of oh well , Ill make a note of that.
In this day and age a chair, that is not a special order, can be ordered in ANY store or online site, with no delivery charge and received in 7 days or less.
I like having the J.C. Penney store in our area but your not helping your own cause. This is absurd, if I dont receive the chair in my home by August 5, 2017, that is a month since I ordered it, I will cancel my order.
An additional concern besides the 15 minute wait to speak to customer service, the email for customer service was down, J.C. Penney is in trouble!
