Maria sent a message to Bob Sasser – Chief Executive Officer and President of Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
On May 23,2016, Sam from Dollar Tree in Pacifica, CA reserved balloons to assure that I will have them for my party on July 9,2016. I called to remind her on July 8 and she suggested that I come in to the store since they had new ones since then. I come in to the store and finds out that she no longer have the balloons I reserved. No big deal and I decided to replace them with another design but she did not have the quantity I needed. She then calls the Colma store and Demetra assured her that they have the quantity I needed so I went there and come to find out that they did not have enough. Demetra's excuse was she was not told that I will be coming over to purchase them. I talked to the manager who they call by the name of Pepsi, she was very unprofessional where she just nodded her head. I asked for the corporate office phone number and she took 15 mins to get it and gave me the wrong number. I can hear her talking to someone in her office and it's very disappointing to hear her say "duh, its a dollar store". True its a dollar store but that's what keeps people to come back even though the quality of the products are not great. Employees should at least take pride in the company that they work for since this is their bread and butter. I picked up the balloons the following day and they were handed to me with an attitude. Had I not called,I would not have anything for the party which would be very humiliating when all that was needed was a courtesy call. This experience I will make sure to let everyone know how Dollar Tree treats customers. The name does not only represent how much the products are worth but the employees as well who are probably less worthy.
