On October 21 2017, I had purchased a set of three tires from your JUST – Richard J Kramer email address

Daniel P. John sent a message to Richard J. Kramer Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of The Goodyear Tire Rubber Company Email Address that said:

On October 21 2017, I had purchased a set of three tires from your JUST TIRES store located at 8511 Annapolis Road, New Carrollton, MD 20784 (Tel# 301.459.5110. As I walked out of the store, I questioned the way the tires were put in and its appearance of how it looked. It gave a poor impression, and it looked like your technicians put in some suspect tires to replace my old tires. Your service writer (Justin) assured me that the tires just put in were good. I disagreed with him and walked out without any other knowing whom I could turn to. The total bill for the three tires came out to $473.07 ($362.97 for the 3 tires and $79.99 for an alignment). I walked out a disappointed customer, because my wife drove this car (Cadillac CTS) and I was concerned for her safety especially when she drove around with my kids.

On November 20 2017, my concerns became true. My wife texted me from the DC Beltway saying that her rear right tire had blown. I immediately got to her destination and saw that this was exactly one of the shoddy tires that I had pointed to Justin, before i had walked out of the store on Oct 21 2017.

It took me 3 hours waiting beside the car, for a tow-truck to get to me and pull my car out. When I got to the same store, I was greeted by Mr. Justin again, who was standing outside the store for some reason. He processed me in as I complained that I had just replaced the same tire some 3 weeks ago. He said that he would look into it and ask the technician to confirm that this was the recently replaced tire.

I received a call later from Justin on that same day saying that he would have to get me the new tire from his warehouse and that I may have to pay for it again. I complained to him but he said that there was nothing he could do. I had him put in a new tire at $145 .30 again.

As I came in to pick my car up later that same evening, I found myself talking to a new service writer technician (Mr. Igancious). I complained to him that I was paying for the same tire twice, and he said that there was nothing he could do, but that I had to talk to Mr. Justin. As Ignacious processed me out, I asked him for proof of when I was at the store previously so that I could show him that I was at the store 3 weeks earlier. Mr Ignacious looked into his computer system and told me that I had been to the store the last time in February of 2017 and at that time had replaced all 4 of my tires. I asked him if it was the same car (Cadillac CTS) and he said that it was. I knew it was a lie because I had been to the same store 3 weeks ago and had replaced the same tire at that time. Mr. Ignacious has been trained very well by the store to lie to his customers.

I left that night after paying $145.30 for it as Mr. Ignacious said that he could not do anything for me. That evening, I found my previous receipt from October 21 of 2017. I was stunned that Mr. Ignacious is trained to lie so well by this store. If the customer does not have a receipt, make him feel that he did not really replace the same tire 3 weeks ago, but make him feel that he only replaced it 8 months ago.

I called the following day and complained to Justin again. He told me clearly that it was company policy and that he could not do anything for me. Once again, I was disappointed as customer and felt that I was cheated by JUST TIRES OF NEW CARROLLTON, MD.

I feel that you should arrange for a refund for me for the damages that I have suffered. In my opinion, I was given 3 bad tires in October 2017 and Mr, Justin nor Mr. Igancious was not willing to take responsibility for it. In the end, the customer ended up suffering.

I would appreciate it if you could do something for me with regards to this issue. I have all of the receipts if you would like me to email or fax them to you.

Thanks
