PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL TO MR. DOUG McMILLON, CEO WALMART,

RE: STEVEN
Walmart Employee
Thomaston,Ga. Store

Dear Mr. McMillon,

First of all, I am 74 years old and I have never before felt a compelling urge to write a letter of outstanding praise for any employee of a business.

To make it a very pleasant long story short, over the past few years have found that the Thomaston.Ga. Wal-Mart is blessed with an employee who so clearly exceeds just doing his job .

I assume he is, or most certainly should be, part of the management team. None the less, it seems that he is always tirelessly busy stocking or making the goods immaculately neat on the shelves

Far more importantly, no matter how busy he is, he always takes the time to make each and every customer feel very important and appreciated.

Always with a genuine smile, he will pleasantly take the time to assist me and all customers with anything possible to make our shopping at Wal-Mart a very enjoyable experience
.
For example very recently, my husband and I were just shopping for hot dogs in his department. He treated us as if we were looking for filet mignon, he stopped what he was doing to take us to the hot dogs and pleasantly explained the merits of each brand we were considering. I just had to ask why he was always so pleasant and how he could be so happy, even so early in the morning, He simply stated that he loved his job.

He has continuously demonstrated an outstanding attitude regardless of the time of day or the department he is in. For example, while he was in charge of the produce department, I could immediately tell which days he was working because all the produce bins were full, neat, fresh and organized, which was not always the case on his days off.

Although he was very busy I remember asking which kind of grape was best. He stopped what he was doing, took me to the grapes and thoroughly explained each kind of grape.
.
Finally, I feel that it is also a compliment to the store manager to have selected Stephen for his management team and to have been able to keep him on the team for so many years.
Sincerely,

Edna Barker
