Dear Sir,
Being a faithful customer of Toyota since 1977, I have always been satisfied with the quality of Toyota vehicles and services. I must however take the liberty to write to you directly to-day for the reason detailed here under, which may seriously affect the reputation of Toyota. The facts are :
In January 2017 1 have bought a Toyota Aygo at the official Toyota dealer Ellipse in Nice, France.
The salesman has given me a certificate of the sale with an attestation of the transfer of theRegistration card (Carte grise in French) to officialise my ownership. I have paid the car including the fees for this transfer and the registration card was expected to be delivered within one month.
However I have never received this registration card since then, and when asked, the same salesman who sold to me the car keeps answering : you will receive it at the end of this week, or the beginning of next week at the latest » and the reason of the delay is due to the fact that Ellipse has been bought by another company. I consider that I have bought the car from an official Toyota dealer which is always at the same address with the same salesman, thus the fact that the name of its management has changed is not my concern. I have been driving this car for 5 months without the registration card, and now I can no longer use it for this is totally illegal and I am exposed to expensive fines and the insurances are not valid in case of accidentsl have written to the management of Toyota in France which redirects me to the local dealer in Nice.
This situation can no longer continue and I am obliged to take legal actions to have my rights respected by Toyota. This is why I am writing to you to inform you of this unbelievable affair.
I do hope also that you may wish to know what is going on with Toyota in France, for I have the very unpleasant feeling that the customer is not respected here.
