Debbie Goings sent a message to Rodney McMullen Chief Executive Officer of The Kroger Co. email address that said:
Please implement programs in Kroger stores to clearly identify organic and conventional food produced with hydroponic, aeroponic, or aquaponic technology, including container growing. In addition, please adopt a sourcing policy to only market organic milk and dairy products from brands that procure their raw milk from farmers that treat their cows respectfully, and at a scale where it is conceivable they can meet the spirit and the letter of the organic law that requires maximizing grazing and pasture consumption. Finally, create a plan to switch suppliers for your private label eggs to ones with the capability of allowing chickens real outdoor access as federal organic law requires. I am willing to pay a little more for truly organic eggs as well as other truly organic food; organic farmers have a right to earn a decent living. Please become a leader in selling truly organic foods, not fake ones. Just to let you know, I check your scoreboard on Cornucopia. Thank-you very much. Respectfully, Debbie Goings
