Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Sears Holdings Corporation

Dear Mr. Lampert:

Please review the correspondence I have included in this package from April 2013.

I recently used my Sears Protection Plan to have my TV serviced on 8 October 2016. I was told on the 25th of October that the TV could not be repaired, but I would receive a “product replacement” credit of $695 for my TV. I do not believe this is an “adequate” compensation for the amount I paid for the TV and the Sears Protection Plan over the years:
1. I paid around $3000 for the TV – the credit is less than 1/4th the value.
2. I have paid in over $4000 to the Sears Protection Plan – the credit is around 1/6th the value.

Again, I have been without a TV since the 8th of October 2016, and I am getting frustrated what I believe is due to me…………….. Please take a moment and ask yourself how you would feel if you received this offer. I feel like I have purchased an top of the line car, and you are offering me a compact car as a suitable replacement . All I’m asking is to be a little understanding by granting a larger replacement credit. Please review my situation and let me know your decision by the 18th of November.

I have been a loyal supporter to Sears over the years and will continue to do so.

Thanks for your consideration and time.

Sincerely,

James
