Ed Sweeney sent a message to Frederick W. Smith Founder, Chairman, and CEO, FedEx Corporation email address that said:
Please sever ties with the NRA to help force them to do the right thing and get on board with banning assault weapons from civilians. I can only assume that you are with them and also do not want to do the right thing. I will not use Fedex again until you dump your ties with the NRA. Thanks, Ed Sweeney
