My name is Caitlin and I am a transgender woman in the United States. I am growing progressively desperate in my quest to ameliorate the psychological, emotional, and financial devastation which is inherently a component of this specific medical condition. Within the confines of the aforementioned objective, I recently scheduled a consultation with a reconstructive surgeon for a series of necessary "facial feminization" procedures. Unfortunately, the quoted price, $81,000.00, greatly exceeds my financial capabilities and adroitly propels me into a state of hopeless isolation replete with the continuing fear of venturing out in public, e.g., University classes, etc. I am caring for a parent so moving out of state is not a realistic option. I was hoping you might be willing to suggest an enlightened non-profit organization capable of providing a measure of financial assistance so that I could liberate myself from this excruciatingly painful biological state thereby facilitating a life of authenticity as the woman I truly am.
