In March 2018, I applied to have my line of credit raised from $70K to $200K at the Ballenger Creek Branch in Frederick, MD. Due to a clerical error by the bank, we were given a $200K loan instead of a line of credit. Once the mistake was discovered, we were promised return of any accrued interest and the $50.00 annual fee would be credited back to my account. Brian Leach, an officer at the Ballenger Creek Branch, has tried for almost two months to rectify the problem with no success. He and I have both talked to Ms. Nikki Abeniji and to date have not had our original calls returned as promised. As a result, I am filing a grievance with the Maryland Banking Commission as well as filing a preditory lending complaint. Any assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Brian Leach has all the information you will need to rectify the problem. You can reach me at 240-446-1492.
