Hello, Mr. Houston. I am writing to you regarding my call today, 11/2, with your customer claims service department in your Dental division. My husband and I have dental coverage through our employer, and Principal is currently our provider. I wanted to let you know that my call today with your representatives Jenny and Andrea was handled quite poorly. They were both misinformed and unhelpful, and they seemed very uncaring in regard to my situation. Essentially, my husband had multiple claims for coverage that were eventually denied, although we had very little communication from Prinicpal regarding the outcome of the claim. The process to document the medical necessity of the procedures was burdensome to both us and to our dentist. Your customer service reps were nonchalant and snarky regarding what was to me a very serious situation. I understand that we may not achieve the desired resolution to our claim, which is beyond frustating to me. In addition, this will impact my deicsion regarding future insurance providers. We have been considering a move from Northwest Mutual for our life insurance, and based on this experience, I can assure you that the Principal Group will not be on our list of potential partners.
