Prior to the Marriott/Starwood merger about a year ago,I was a Lifetime Platinum member with both programs. I was told (maybe erroneously) that there were only about 1,700 Lifetime Platinums in the Starwood program alone. If so, there have to be far less than 1,000 of us in the entire Marriott nation. I was hoping youd do something special to recognize the number of nights we spent away from home, the amount of money we spent on rooms and the loyalty involved in achieving Lifetime Platinum in both the Starwood and Marriott programs. Unfortunately, I only see former benefits being stripped away. If youre interested in learing more, please let me know.
