@Progressive – Glenn Renwick – Several years ago I acquired a quote through the Progressive website. I thought the quote

Several years ago I acquired a quote through the Progressive website. I thought the quote was really low and so I called to speak with a rep. I was concerned that I was missing some important mandate for a financed car in the state of Pennsylvania. I was told that it was okay. I bought it. Then I wrecked my car and progressive refused the pay for it because I did not have enough insurance on the car as required. I asked the case to be reviewed and the individual was able to find the phone call that I had initially made. At first, they acted like they realized there was an error and they seemed like they were going to fix my car. But then suddenly I got a call and they said something in the wording of my question when I called that rep was not correct, it was some technicality in the way I phrased it, and so they said Progress was off the hook for the whole ordeal. It was thousands of dollars worth of damage. Furthermore, I was informed that since I filed a claim with progressive it would be held against me if I tried to get insurance from any other company. So I was stuck with your vile and evil company for several years until finally enough time had passed I was able to get a good rate elsewhere. I dropped your coverage and I hate your company. You told me something inaccurate over the phone. I called your "expert" rep to help me with a question I had about the insurance I was thinking of buying. I was broke back then and all I could do was file a claim with the PA insurance commission which got me no where since they can only review information that your company gives them voluntarily. But I just want you to know that even though it\'s been years, I never miss an opportunity to tell someone how terrible and evil your company is. I called your rep to get help and they did not help me, they caused me to purchase the wrong insurance. How can you possibly treat a customer like that?
