My name is Barbara Goodwin. This morning I went to my local Quest Diagnostics to have a blood test. My doctor\'s office said they\'d faxed the lab order over but when I got to the lab at 6:00 in the morning it wasn\'t there. I went home and waited until I could call the doctor\'s office to have it resent. The doctor\'s office said it was resent and I decided to call my local Quest facility to make sure it was there so I didn\'t have to waste another drive and my time. To my surprise and unhappiness there is no way to call a local facility. The customer service numbers are all automated with a phone tree that takes up my time and didn\'t have the right prompts to get me to a live person. A human. All I wanted was to make sure the faxed lab order was there. But no! I made a second trip to Quest and luckily for me the order was there. Still, not having the ability to access a real person in a situation like this is wrong. It would have been a very quick call, but I could have wasted a second round trip to the lab if the fax hadn\'t been there. That is not what I call customer service and I was in the customer service industry for 38 1/2 years. The ability to speak to a HUMAN would go a long way to up your lack of customer service.
