Re: Claims not processed in a timely manner.
I am writing to you regarding a continuing disability claim for myself. I faxed the continuing claim over to the Claims Department on January 13, 2016. It is now February 22, 2016 and this is not resolved yet.
I have called claims representatives several times within the last six weeks regarding this claim.
These are all the excuses that I have been told;
¢ Benefits have already been paid.
¢ Missing the employers statement
¢ Missing the Doctors statement
I have sent all the required information a total of three times (twice directly to the claims department, once to the Los Angeles District office)
I call again this morning and I am told that the claim has been closed and to resubmit all my paperwork againâ¦.really?
This is a continuing claim for âlight-dutyâ under my Accident policy which has a âsicknessâ rider. I was told by one of the AFLAC agents who represents the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Police Department. months ago that some changes have been made to the AFLAC policy for the City of Los Angeles, but my policy which I got in 1996 was going to stay the same.
Now I continue to have problems getting claims paid which is stressing me out and making me sick. If it continues I will have no choice but to take my coverage elsewhere.
