Horrible Place
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Greenville, SC - June 1, 2017
Pros: A paycheck is better than nothing Cons: low pay, unconcerned managers, nepotism, poor training
Starting with training. It was obvious that you got away with more if you knew the trainer. The training was very unprofessional, but was called fun. Way too many ice breaker games. Once training is over you are put on the floor with mostly disinterested managers who also had their favorites. It was obvious to get ahead you needed to know someone. Pay was horrible for the position. It should be at least $14 to $15 per hour. There was a lot of negative talk, cursing, vulgarity, racist words used. The N word was thrown around like it was okay. A lot of singing, rapping, dancing, loud conversations, Remember you are talking to clients on the phone. Sometimes it was hard to hear because of how loud the room could get and the unprofessional behavior. All of this negativity went unnoticed by managers. They seemed like they were in their own little world. Not all of them. The big boss never left her office so she had no idea of the culture on the floor. Many people would just walk out. The turnover rate is very high. This shows you how clueless management is because if they knew how much it cost to train each employee and then lose them within 6 months to a year after training (sometimes sooner), they would work harder to keep their employees instead of lose them. It seemed like SYNNEX, which owns Concentrix, is the better place to work but they dont hire too many minorities at SYNNEX. It is also my understanding that the building I worked in was often referred to as the Ghetto. They also have notices around the building to HELP YOUR FELLOW CONCENTRIX employees through DONATIONS. I am talking food, milk, formula and pampers for the babies. Now, that was laughable to me. In other words management is saying, we know we dont pay well so we are going to have to give to one another. Most organizations give to the community outside of the organization. They dont ask for those kind of donations for their employees because they make sure their employees salaries allow for them to buy the necessities of life for themselves and their families. Forget about raises. It is a non-discussion. Insurance per person/per family is really high for a company as large as this organization. REALLY HORRIBLE CULTURE! Management seems to have no idea. If the turnover rate at Concentrix was not so high, they could pay their people better. If the environment was more professional and salaries higher, people would want to stay. Management do the math, you might be able to pay your employees better if you could retain them. You dont even realize you are doing something wrong with a turnover rate as high as yours, and no it is not normal just because of the size of your organization. Get a clue!! Where is the CEO, Kevin M. Murai. I guess he has no idea what is going on and obviously does not care. He is busy riding around in a big car and going home to a fancy house. I bet he doesnt need to ask us to donate anything to him. Vice President of Operations and General Manager, Dick Rapach, needs to wear a disguise, go in as a maintenance person, in Aetna, and see what is really going on. Hopefully, it will be a good day and he can see the real deal. He will need to do it at different times and shifts. I believe an increase in pay and more professionalism would keep employees. I know I could whip that place into shape. Those two so-called heavy weights are doing a terrible job. All they care about is getting contracts and their LARGE paychecks/bonuses, but not their workers/employees. Dont work at Concentrix unless you are desperate for a paycheck and most of us are, but we want fair wages and a career. You are not going to get that in every department there. Aetnas CEO said he pays his employees $16 an hour. Well, I guess since Concentrix is a third party, the CEO of Aetna does not care about what Concentrix employees make or that that they have to ask one another to help buy the essentials of life. So sad!
